Our Hunter's Glen Morgans crew attended their final show of the season, Octoberfest Horse Show in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Hunter's Glen brought seven horses to show and came back with eleven victory passes in both main ring and academy classes.
Acorn Ridge Exclusive Art bested a field of 21 in the Morgan Hunter Pleasure qualifier with Karen Bobbi in the irons for her daughter, Nicole. "Artie" was a fresh face to our string this year after a few years out of the ring. Nicole Bobbi showed "Artie" throughout the week in the amateur hunter pleasure offerings. Belleheir Lady was a crowd favorite in the Ladies Pleasure Section B. The big, bold, black, Saddlebred, mare is something different than Karen usually brings into the ring. "Lady" bested a field of 14 after a work off of the top five horses. Karen's excitement was felt through her smile holding her flowers down victory lane. Later in the week, owner Emily Candelaria won both her Adult Walk Trot Academy Championships. Chilled Martini and Jane Alvarez came together for their last classes on the season. A new combination this year, both horse and rider made tremendous improvement in the packed amateur hunter pleasure offerings. Hylee's Wrapped in Clover and Emma Johnson finished their first full season together with another two blue ribbons in the Junior Exhibitor Hack 14-17 and Championship, also competing in the Morgan Hunter Pleasure Junior Exhibitor offerings. Newmont's Mocha Man and Ava Howland wrapped up their last academy classes as winners of the Walk Trot Equitation 12-17 Championship. Karen Bobbi showed "Nero" for owner Lynn Fuda in the Hunter Pleasure Adult offerings. Treble's High End Piece and owner Amanda Zsido topped the NEHC Hunter Pleasure Sec. B after their first season back to showing hunter pleasure. Willow Hill Pollyanna won the NEHC Western Pleasure offering with Karen Bobbi for owner, Caprice Tondalo. Robbie Zsido rode "Polly" to an (almost) unanimous season in the Academy Walk Only Championships. |
